What is a flat-rate quote?
A flat-rate quote is based on your inventory list, the scheduled moving date, and all specific services requested. It’s a transparent pricing model with no hidden fees, taxes, or unexpected charges. The price remains fixed regardless of how long the move takes, as it is not based on hourly rates.

Yes, we provide the certificate of insurance (COI) free of charge for as many locations as needed.

Yes, our storage is secured with video surveillance, climate-controlled, and only accessible by Smiley Movers employees to ensure the safety of your items.
Do I need to commit to long-term storage?
No, our storage solutions are flexible. Whether you need short-term or long-term storage, you’re not required to make a long-term commitment.

How are my items protected during the move?
We wrap and protect all your items that can't fit into a regular moving box with high-quality materials, and they stay secured in the same way during storage, ensuring they’re safe throughout the entire process of transportation.
What is the insurance policy for my items?
As required by the Department of Transportation, your belongings will be covered with basic coverage of $0.60 per pound per damaged item. If you’d like additional protection, our moving consultants can recommend a trusted third-party insurance company where you can easily obtain a policy.
How much should I tip the movers?
While tipping is optional, the general recommendation for a job well done is 15-20% of the total moving cost, which will be evenly distributed among the crew. However, you are welcome to tip any amount based on the quality of service and your satisfaction with the team’s performance.
What are your working hours, and are you open on weekends?
Our working hours are from 7 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week. We provide moving service 365 days a year, so we're available whenever you need us!
How far in advance should I book my move?
We recommend booking at least two weeks in advance to ensure availability and best rates, but we also handle last-minute moves with flexible scheduling options.
